Monsignor Martin Vallely

Pastor

Monsignor Martin Vallely was born in Hamilton, Ontario, son of the late Frank and Audrey Vallely. He is the younger of two sons, his brother John was a Permanent Deacon in service to the Diocese of London, Ontario until his death in October 2017.  After completing elementary and high school education in Hamilton and Guelph, and University and Seminary studies in Waterloo and London, Monsignor Martin was ordained to the priesthood for service in the Diocese of Hamilton, on May 3rd, 1980.  He has ministered in various parishes in the Diocese, and as the Director of the Diocesan Office of Religious Education (1987-1992). Monsignor Martin was the Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Kitchener (1992-2005), and Saint Francis Xavier Parish in Stoney Creek (2005-2015).  He was privileged to have a sabbatical year, including studies and travels in Rome, before being appointed Pastor of Holy Rosary Parish on May 31st, 2016.  In November 2020, he was named by Pope Francis, a Chaplain of His Holiness. with the title of Monsignor.

   
 

Mrs. Divine Dimaranan

Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Divine was originally from the Philippines.  She has a background in Accounting.  She, together with her husband, Lowie and her two sons, Luis and Rob, live in Hamilton.  Divine started working in the Parish Office in September 2020 as Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper.

 

Mr. Cristian Lecanda

Youth and Family Minister

Cristian is originally from Santiago, Chile; he moved to Canada over 26 years ago, and is married with three children. After finishing college, he gave time to work as a missionary in Canada and Peru, working with youth and young adults. Cristian has been working with the Diocese of Hamilton since 2008: at St. Raphael here in Burlington as Youth Minister,  and at St. Michael Parish in Oakville, working as Parish Minister with the English and Spanish communities. Cristian is now working with us here at Holy Rosary as Youth & Family Minister, since early May 2022.
